The Fate of Inmate 157103 – Buffalo NY

Inmate #157103 needs to die. His crime is so heinous, but like many who have gone unpunished before him, we are drawing the line. It’s at the Tops on Jefferson Avenue in Buffalo New York. Our beloved neighbors have suffered so atrocious an indignity, it would be insufferable for the evil to go unpunished.

Our first desire as Christians is to give the accused on opportunity to receive the gift of faith, repent and make restitution for the enormous damage he’s inflicted, not only upon the grieving family and friends, but the entire community, in Buffalo and surround, if such a thing were possible.
But our better nature tells us something different. Much more can be said of how offensive it is that the dredges of society should get perhaps 16 years of three hots & a cot then out on good behavior, if not for the continuing indignity of family visiting the prison annually to ensure the shooter is denied parole, or of the many deep ancillary wounds his crime has caused. Our better nature tells us God’s Law and US Law from our Founding assures us God will sort it out.
The Founders' Bible by David Barton of Wallbuilders, Brad Cummings and Lance Wubbels provides some insight into how such matters should be properly dealt with. We’d do well to read what some of our Founders spoke to condemned men. From Jacob Rush, brother of Declaration signer Benjamin Rush:
From Supreme Court justice Joseph Story in 1812:
To Adam Horn, a man whose crime historians called “one of the most atrocious murders to be found in the annals of crime” and to slave trader Nathaniel Gordon:
Naturally
we are seeing calls for more gun control, but as New York State’s abysmal
legislative history has shown, such laws primarily negatively impact the rights of law-abiding
citizens. We know Inmate #157103 targeted Buffalo for its strict gun control
regulations, and an armed citizenry would have been the best defense against
his psychotic rampage. In addition, the soft on crime "Bail Reform" laws recently instituted by our negligent NYS Legislature and our "accidental Governor" Hochul, in the words of educator Dr. Marc Epstein, have only enabled unstable people to brazenly commit violent acts without accountability. We also know that criminals will always be able to
obtain guns illegally, and sadly, efforts to go after these have only recently
begun.
It should be noted a big effort is currently underway by the mainstream media to
fault right-wing extremists for the shooter’s behavior. This is easily argued
to be false as the shooter is a left-wing authoritarian who hates Fox News, according
to his own words. It is doubtful the amount of violent crimes by definitively right-wing
extremists can be counted on one hand, while the number committed by left-wing
extremists and simply unstable individuals without ideological leanings seems
to be without end.
It is
unfortunate New York State does not have the Death Penalty, but in the absence
of that, it can be accomplished at the Federal level. Justice needs to be
swift. As a community, proper justice will help the healing process and better enable us to minister to our family, friends and neighbors.
